Last night we celebrated the official launch of Sanctuary, Tom Gaisford's debut novel. Family, friends, ex-colleagues, esteemed actors and prominent journalists gathered in the Lucky Jim's bar in basement of Waterstones on Tottenham Court Road. Tom spent most of the evening signing copies, something he'll have to get used to, after he'd spoken about how and why he came to write the book, leaning heavily on George Orwell's classic essay, Why I Write'. He also handed out deserved tongue in cheek awards to his wonderfully patient wife, Sarra, and mum, Sue Gaisford. Helen Lacey of Bath Publishing/Cinto Press also announced Tom is currently working on a sequel so watch this space, there is more to come! On the same day as the launch, Tom was profiled in The Times Law pages which is also well worth a read.    Comments are closed.
